Bush-hammering is a mechanical treatment that
gives the surface of the stone a rough and pitted appearance.
The process can be carried out with bush-hammers of various
sizes and therefore with varyingly accentuated incisions.
The surface maintains the natural colours of the stone, with
the incised areas noticeably lighter. The minimum thickness
of the slab on which it is possible to carry out the bush-hammering
surface treatment is 20 mm.
